At the opening ceremony of the 2023 Minhang Science and Technology Festival held on May 23, a number of new technologies and products closely related to people's lives, such as smart pets, unmanned supermarkets, smart education, and AI exhibit activation from science and technology innovation enterprises in the region, were displayed, showing the butterfly changes brought by scientific and technological innovation to urban life from the perspective of people's familiar life.
In February this year, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially issued the "Plan for Promoting the Construction of the "Big Zero Bay" Science and Technology Innovation Source Functional Zone, taking the opportunity of the Shanghai Municipal Government to promote the construction of the "Big Zero Bay" innovation source, this year's Minhang Science and Technology Festival will focus on the theme of "Science and Technology Innovation Source, Intelligent Creation of the Future" to open a new situation of scientific and technological innovation empowering industrial life and urban development, and condensing a new pattern of innovation intelligence empowering innovation-driven development. In the face of the future, cutting-edge technologies such as AI technology, synthetic biology, and translational medicine will also empower the further take-off of the "Big Zero Bay".
At the opening ceremony, 12 Minhang district-level innovation and R&D centers in 2022, 8 enterprises selected for the second batch of "Zhangjiang Star" cultivation plan enterprises and 11 "Science and Technology Innovation Star" top 100 enterprises were awarded honorary medals, so as to encourage the majority of science and technology innovation enterprises to strengthen independent innovation, continuously improve their hard scientific and technological strength, and make new contributions to Minhang's economic and social development.
At the scene, version 3.0 of Minhang's popular science IP image was officially released, and its image is very infectious of popular science culture. It is reported that the District CPPCC, the District Science and Technology Commission Association for Science and Technology and HOTDOG jointly issued a limited public welfare digital blind box - Minmin Blind Box in order to care for children with autism, and presented Minhang popular science IP digital blind boxes to 100 "Star Children" families.
Children can visit 10 popular science education bases such as Shanghai Aerospace Science Popularization Center, Shanghai Metro Museum and Shanghai Jiaotong University Biological Transgenic Science Popularization Base for free within two years with the digital blind box, hoping to accompany the "children of the stars" out of loneliness through the appeal of popular science culture.
